I found a new one to me. Pretty sure it is not Messor or Pogo.
Can you help identify? It is nearly as large as P. Rugosus.
I only saw the one near some very large pines.

Not an ant at all my friend. It is juvenile "true bug" order Hemiptera. Many of them mimic ants when young, and that is what you have. It's a cutie though. Good job
