A one(s) that almost got away story...

Conrad Oct 19, 2003 03:57 PM

Well, the other day, by some chance my collareds enclosure didn't get closed completely, or one of my other critters(kids/dogs) hit in and jarred it open. Anyway, no one noticed and my wife calls me up telling me they are all gone! She finds our two females right off the bat hanging out on top of the cricket bin(of all places..hmmm), but the male was still MIA. Which went on for two days untill yesterday, when surprisingly my mother-in-law walked into the house and asked about the new statue on my entertainment center! Turns out it was the male just perching up high. He must have climbed the frillies enclosure on the other side and hopped across...sure am glad to have them back though. Gave them some cricket yesterday and they "tore em up"! lol Just thought I'd share, thanks for "listening".

That or their like my wife just always asking what's for dinner while the male's out doing all the work! lol Just kidding, glad to have them back though. I'm hoping to have some luck with them in the spring. One of the "trios" my wife got correct. She also got a "trio" of desert spiny lizards that looks like it may be all female, unless the smallest is a male that just doesn't have his colors yet, and nine, count them, nine leopard lizards and every single one is a male! So I traded a few of the leopards for rodents quick, and now I'm searching for a couple females for them...but at least the collareds are back together.
