what is the proper name for this skink?

Schwan May 28, 2003 06:38 PM

this is sylvester. i was given him a couple of years ago, and recently i picked him up a friend at a herp show. the "friend," so-crates (bill and ted style) is smaller and more brown, but i figured that just meant that it was younger.

i was told that he was a sandfish skink, but after seeing photos of sandfish, i am sure they are not the same.

he has so much carachter and makes a super pet! what is he, though?

Yea, its definitely not a sand fish. Its head is too tall. Unfortunately, im not very good at IDing skinks. until i saw its head (my isp is slow so it loaded scrolling down hehe) i thought schneiders but its head looks wrong for that too. Maybe a great plains skink? Im not sure, but im CERTAIN that its not a sand fish.
