sorry about the name but it was just to catch peoples attention.

Today at a pet store i needed another female mouse to go with my mice that is already 1.2 . Now when i was at the store a couple came in with a female mouse that they had bought from the store earlier to feed to they're corn snake. They said they put the mouse with the corn but it showed no interest. so i bought this female mouse, and one of my females and the male i have are attacking it in little scrambles they dont bite they just knock it over. could it be because they can smell the corn snake on it. will they stop attacking it.
Thanks a bunch

it's awfully hard to introduce a mouse of either sex into a established colony if you want to bring in a new female you have to raise up a baby they are just to territorial

If none of the girls are pregnant you can put them all in a new cage.... preferably putting the male in first to get his scent in it and then putting all the girls in. I'm not saying that they won't quibble a bit, but nothing like they would if they are pregnant or if a new mouse is just plunked into their established territory. If they are pregnant... it's best just to grow out one of their babies. Hope this helps.
