Quarantining Frogs

silvrstar7 Oct 19, 2003 08:52 PM

I just got my new, absolutely gorgeous female RETF yesterday, and I have her in a 5.5 gallon tank as of now. My question is, should I quarantine her for a month or so, or should I just get a fecal exam done on her to make sure she's ok? (I'm getting the fecal done no matter what.) I just can't wait to put her in with my boys.

A fecal will rule out anything "right now" but you may want to keep her in quarentine for a couple months just for observasion. That way you can be sure that nothing is going to show up later.
