Yes I am back! Man, I don't think I've ever had a more chameleon-intense weekend. Friday morning, I ditched out of work 5 hours early and came home to find my female Sambava crawling her cage bottom for the first time. So I stuck her in the bucket and she immediately started digging.... I thought dammit cause I was tryin to get out of town and that process takes at least 5 good hours. So I rigged up a dripper on her and figured she was good to go. So I went to Cali at about 110mph and got a room there in San Diego that night. Saturday morning, I show up at the show and right after walking in the door, Amazing Blue pulls out this nice 5 month old male Ambanja and said it was for me (NOT CHEAP). I was like... Uuuh ok.... I wasn't really sure I wanted an Ambanja, but it was a nice one with lotsa blue and some red bars coming through. So I said what the heck. They also had brought me 6 screen cages, so my bill with them was pretty large this time. But they threw in a free shirt and Miner-All I so why not. I wandered around the show a bit, picked up more supplies, $78 worth of feeder insects and stopped by to say hi to Kammers. Man, they had a 14 month old male Ambanja for sale for 50 bucks more than I got mine for... I was kinda kickin myself in the butt over it. So anyways, I got home last night, and this female Sambava was sitting there looking at me, waiting to be put back in her cage. So I weighed her, offered her some nice new hornworms and got her situated. Then I dug up 24 perfect Sambava eggs (small clutch....?). Then I got some cages together and got everything going for my new Ambanja. He was happy and ate a little bit. Then this morning, my female Nosy Be that was going through all the egg binding issues from 1-2 weeks ago was crawling her cage. So I stuck her in the egg laying container and she's been digging test holes all day. AND my female veiled should be laying her second clutch any day now AND tomorrow afternoon (after a stop by the bank), I'm ordering a female Tamatave and a female Ambanja! So with those 2 females, I'll have 1.1 Tamataves, 1.1 Ambanjas, 1.2 Nosy Be's, 2.2 Sambavas, and 1.1 Sunburst Veileds. Not to mention my male cross panther. Whoo..... I'm not sure I can handle any more chams! It's a full time job!
