Azul was in Chicago to be an ambassador for the Cyclura conservation efforts. He helped the Chicago Herp Society raise some funds at the Tinley Park show. He was in excellent form and behavior all weekend long and attracted a LOT of attention. His head had just shed, his body was a bit dull because of impending shed but his color was fantastic.

I like the expression of the lady in the 2nd picture. How old is Azul?

Thanks Joel. That lady hung around for a long time and I talked to her about her 2 Green Iguanas. She has 2 males housed together and didn't realize that sooner or later she was going to have some major problems. Azul is a shrimpy 5 years old. His dad is humongous...don't know why Azul is so small.

the reason I asked about age was that he(Azul) doesnt seem to have the "lewisi" longer nose. The the lower profile shot seems like he kinda does have it. No big deal, just something I always look at with these hybrids.
That lady is lucky you two talked

Joel, his head is starting to look longer in the last 6 months but for now it's quite proportional to his body size. Maybe it will look a little more apparent in this photo.

Wow that is a beautiful animal. Dorothy likes to be rocked in the rocking chair. She is getting a little tamer, eating better, and had 5 fingers/toe trimed down
