Will I need to forcefeed?

joebob Oct 19, 2003 11:33 PM

I really want to start my beardie on parazap but he wont even lick water off his nose. He used to when he was a baby but he suddenly stopped when he was around 6 months old (he's 1 yr old now). Should I forcefeed the parazap? (if yes i'll need instructions on how) If not, then what should I try instead?

Thanks

just sprinkle it on the salad or dust the cricket with it when you need to.

And to get them drinking from a dropper, try something they really like first, we have found that strawberry-kiwi gatorade is a big favorite for them.(you can mis the parazap with that too)

If they will not drink at first by putting a drop on their nose, just slightly lower the side lip towards the back and place a drop there, DO NOT force open the jaw. Place a drop there will usually get them licking as they have taste sensor back there.

i have found for those that dont take to licking off their noses, hold them in one hand, the dropper in the other, i walk around with them, when something grabs their attention i turn them away from whatever it is by turning my hand and at the same time im drizzling it on their snouts slowly, they usually begin to lap it up, i find usually they arent being stubborn, they arent just paying attention to you. dont ask, but it works, guess when something grabs their attention, and you trn them away from it, the attention falls on you, ah well, worth a try, works here
