new pic of my blue and temperment update (and he loves red grapes)

reptilian9 Oct 20, 2003 01:39 AM

I've had him two weeks now, and he is coming along nicely. So far, all that was said in my earlier posts is coming true. I've been handling him a lot more with less fuss and I can tell I am gaining his trust. As said before, patience is the most important thing, and if he's doing this good already then maybe I'll have a "cat-tame" tegu in about a year. If I can just lessen his feeding response...

He's still trying to eat everything that interests him, but he's becoming less interested in my hands, which is great. I knew he ate red grapes, but I didn't think he would love them so much! It's like someone mentioned earlier, I think he prefers them over mice! I made him a plate of six pinkies and sliced grapes, and he ate most of the grapes first and the mice last. I never thought I would see that, cause he always loved meat so much. I think I'll name him Puffy although I seem to call him Buddy all the time. Here's a pic for you guys.
