booradley Oct 20, 2003 12:20 PM

I was working my booth for Blackburn College this past weekend at the St Louis Reptile Show. While there my gf and I got a chinchilla (which is awesome) and I got myself a Veiled Chameleon. I am doing a presentation in a Cell Biology class on chromatophores and this little guy is my star. Hes all set up in the greenhouse here and I hope to get pics soon.

Sounds neat! This will be a "show and tell" of sorts? LOL!

Is she in the school greenhouse? If so, I assume that they spray on a regular basis. Even if using "safe" bio-cides they will not be safe for your cham. Just something to think about if you haven't already.

We have a regular poster on her, alanvines, who has his chams in a home greenhouse. He's got some pix, too.

Will be interested on your presentation and pix!

We have more than one greenhouse here at school. The one my cham is in doesn't get sprayed. I was very worried about that myself. The ficus are my own just in case some of their plants have ever been sprayed before. We also raise rainbow fish and common toads frequently make visits. I'll keep you posted on my presentation and my cham. Thanks for the interest!
