RES wounded

I have a red eared slider that was picked on by another, and as a result has a raw, flaky looking wound on his neck. I've isolated him, and have been basically watching him around the clock (changing his water twice a day) is there anything that I can do for him?

Taking to a knowledgeable vet is best to see if it needs antibiotic injections. With open wounds I'd keep him dry in a plastic tub most of the day and allow a one hour soak in clean water daily. Keep him warm at about 85 degrees. Antibiotic ointment can be put on the wound after soaking. Don't get it in the eyes. When the wound has healed he can go back into his regular living place. Any oozing, smell or decreased appetite get him to the vet ASAP. Any aggression should not be tolerated. Turtles should be kept separate in that case.
