I apologize in advance for not completely knowing this "impending" law.
I've heard 2nd hand from 3 different pet stores that they have received visits from game wardens this week. The purpose seems to be an advance notice that they may want to sell off their stock of nile crocs. Because there is a law they're trying to past prohibiting niles AND all exotic venemous snakes.
They claim introducing destructive species. Never mind that except in the extreme south of TX niles won't make it in the wild. No grandfather, no permits just no niles or exoctic venemous.
Personally this hits very close to home ie. my livelihood.
If someone knows more about this than I do please let me know. If there is going to be a public forum or whatever I would like to be involved.D.C.

Danny,
If you could can you please reference the 'impending' law. I would like to call the state and get information directly. The Niles I keep are directly involved with my business and any attempt to take them would be a 'taking' in a legal sense. A fight the state would not win.

I recently talked with them about regulations and they mentioned nothing to me about this. Not that they would necessarily.

TP& W are only a governing body over native species, I think legally that law enforcement body would have a tough time with this.

If it is true I may be in for a battle royal because my crocs are well known and very public.

Danny, on another note, can you email me. I have a question for you and/or John.

Thanks,
CD
