What are we talking about?

Thats a very pretty striking looking animal, I'm happy to find out that it has been shown to be an inherited trait. But why did it take a year to let everyone know about it? Does it take that long for the babies to start showing their colors?
Mark
Congratulations, awesome snake!
What where it's parents/how is it inherited?
How did it look as a baby?
Does it have pattern in it's shed skins?
Thanks!

Could this be a true axanthic, with other lines actually being hypoxanthic? I'd be interested on others' input on this.
