Hello! Thanks for the replys about the Ball Python I found in the dumpsters. Now I have a couple of questions. I have heard a couple people mention that I don't need a light. The cage is 36 inches by 15 by 15. It has a half screen top, with a glass lid that hinges in the middle. I have a medium sized heating pad on the bottom of the glass side, and a 100 watt full spectrum on the screen side. I also have a water dish (6 x 6 inches and 2 inches deep) on the screen side. I like to look into the cage and actually see things so I am going to stick with the light (guess that wasn't really a question then...). I am planning on feeding it on Wednesday. What size mouse? Should I pre-kill it? I don't want it to get aggressive at all. It is really hand-tame right now, so I want to keep it that way.
I have posted this on other forums and everyone has the same reaction: Anger at the person who left him there, and glad that someone who actually cared found him. Now he is warm, and seems to like to move around in your hands.

p.s. - I checked for the "anal spurs", and they are definately there, and they are moveable. This is a male, correct?
