a rat snake if the anal scale is divided. If it is a single anal scale it might be a prairie kingsnake. It looks more like a prairie kingsnake to me. Just a guess.

Ummm, am I on the right forum (or planet) here? That's DEFINITELY a Pituophis. But hard to tell from the photo which Pituophis. Could possibly be a Sonoran (affinis) or a sayi. I'd need a better photo. But it is a Pituophis.
Okay, now I think it's a fox snake. ha
