Does this mean that they're dehydrated? If so, how can you get them to drink water, because my beardie doesn't want to eat anything but wax worms and crickets. He doesn't touch vegetables or anything else anymore. He's losing weight and he's not very active... =(

Help, please?

have you had a fecal check done? if he is eating crickets and waxies he should not be loosing weight, how old is he? how many does he eat daily? what is your set up like? temps? lighting? do you supplement?

many dragons will drink in the bath or from a dropper, just drop the bit of water on their snout, usually they will lap it up.

I haven't done a fecal check. I think he's fine according to that.. I don't have crickets or worms available for him every day. So he goes a few days w/o eating anything. I feed him romaine lettuce and other stuff daily but he doesn't touch it. I always have pellets available in his cage, but I have no way of telling if he has touched them or not. He's going on two I'm pretty sure. I have him in a 40 gal. tank, and I have a heat lamp, the basking spot is between 100-105. I still have to get him a UVB light, but that has been a bit difficult. I dust all his food with calcium. He never seems to drink the water when I bathe him, and I try misting his face a little to see if he will lap any of it up, but he doesn't.

I agree with Reiko about having a fecal done. You should have it done every 6 mo at the least. Especially if this dragon is going on 2 yrs w/o one.
Perhaps he does have parasites or Coccidia and his appetite would be better if it were treated.
Feed leafy greens like collard, mustard, kale, bok choy..
Romaine has little nutritional value anyway.

Another thing to try, after the fecal check is Parazap. You can read about it at Parazap.com or there is a link on my website.

My BD never took water from his soaks. I just tried a syringe with some water in it and I held him close to my body and very gently, tapped his mouth with the tip. He went to lick it and I dropped a drop into his mouth. He did this a couple of times and I think he got enough water that way. It's worth a try... Good luck
