coloration in beardeds

geckogod2 May 28, 2003 08:36 PM

i have an orange glow female bearded.. what is the best food to feed to help maintain the most vivid orange coloration for her.. right she gets a mixture of collard greens, red lettuce, spinach, banana, grapes, crickets(dusted), superworms, occasional pinky or two. she is about 15" long. i also realize color can tend to fade with age.. but any ideas on the food.

thanks,
geckogod2

Carrots could help. Oh I would skip the spinach and limit bananas to an occaisonal treat. Add in dandelion greens (and flowers) and mustard greens, enchive and enscarola....better to have more variety in a beardie's diet. Oh not too much carrots, don't want to give him the runs LOL! A little shredded carrots ontop of his 'salad' once a day should help with that orangy colour...
