My corn snake

Finnigan Oct 20, 2003 10:13 PM

Hi all.

I have 4 snakes. I really like my ball pythons but I think corns are probably the best snake to keep as a pet. And the fact that you can get a whole rainbow of colors and patterns for the fraction of a price of a bp morph doesn't hurt either.

Anyways, here she is after a couple of hopper rats. She weighed 372 grams after the rats. (The coin in the pic is a Canadian quarter).

But aren't they all? I personally think that the normal, boring old cornsnake color/pattern is one of the most beautiful and harmonious of all the snakes'. The first time I ever saw a corn, my heart started to pound and my hands got sweaty. I'd never seen an animal so beautiful. This is back when I had NO experience with snakes, but I still feel the same way every time I look at a pretty Okeetee.

Does that make me weird? Or just a snake-a-holic?
