on 9/22/03 my brb droped 4live babies,3 stillborn, and 4 slugs then on10/4 she droped another slug,on 10/10 she shed, pooped, and droped 2 more slugs, and on 10/16 she droped 3 more stillborns 2 normal sized and one very small one. during this time she has eaten 5 small rats and seems normal in every other way. has any one ever experienced something like this before? all information would be greatly appreciated.

I have had litters like yours before. I believe that the slugs are the major problem in these litters. They are more likely to stick in the oviduct and as the snake labors she breaks the membranes around live babies in the litter and they drown before they are delivered. Good litters with no slugs are usually all delivered alive over a period of 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Calking1,
. Check your snake very carefully to make sure that it does not have a retained deab baby or slug. If you hold off on feeding for a week or two it should pass the last of any meals and you can let it crawl through your hand applying some pressure and you will be able to feel any lumps. If there is anything retained in the oviducts it can cause an infection or bleeding.
