hello! i have a problem with my female leo. she will only eat waxworms. She has lost a lot of weight and is now very thin. I began to notice that she wouldn't take any interest in crickets when i fed my trio (1.2) and would always come to me. She was more interested in me then the food. I started to regularly feed her waxies every other night during feeding time. I then realized shes not eating the crix and is only relying on me feeding her waxies. I know they're are addictive, but when she wont eat anything else i have no choice.

What do i do?? I have tried hand feeding her crickets but she spat them out. I have tried mealworms before and neither of my leos liked them. Im am very worried that im going to lose her.

1.1 Gold Dust Day Geckos - Phelsuma laticauda
6 Dwarf Ground Geckos - Tropiocolotes tripolitanus
0.1 Chinese Cave Gecko - Goniurosaurus luii
0.1 Tokay Gecko - Gekko gecko
1.1 Mexican Banded Geckos - Coleonyx mitratus
1.0 Pictus Gecko - Paroedura pictus

waxies should be given as treats once every to every other week.. the farther they are apart in feeding, the chances of addiction are smaller. i guess what you could do, is include superworms in her diet for now.... try giving her superworms and cut your wax worms down to once a week... i heard someone say it took him two weeks to finally get his leo off her addiction. i hope it works!!! good luck N take care~
