Box turtle breeder in driving distance from philadelphia

dinus Oct 21, 2003 08:47 AM

My boss is interested in going somewhere he can get a eastern box turtle. Preferably a breeder within driving distance of philly. However, even if i can just find a petstore that would carry these that is also good. I am pretty sure turtles are not sold in NJ or Philly, at least in pet stores so I am willing ti drive a bit. Central PA, Del etcetc.

Try making a thorough search of the kingsnake classifieds, if you haven't already.

yeah i looked at classifieds. Im actually helping my boss findone since im already registered in KS forums. He would prefer to drive and pick one out rather then have it shipped. Anything within like an hour or so of philly?

I live right outside of philly while in school... yeah, there really are no breeders or pet stores around here. in fact, i don't advise buying any animal at a pet store, so please don't look there for a box turtle (since it was probably snatched out if the wild)

I just bought a brand new baby 3 toed box to add to my box "collection" from a man in Texas that I found in the classifieds here. The transaction went well, he was really helpful and polite... I paid him through paypal (he was resonable, too) and got I my box turtle first thing the next morning... the animal was in transit for no more than 15 hours, and once arrived, he was healthy, alert, and even ate within in its first few hours of being with us. His website is www.CarlsCreepyCrawlies.com
