Proportional Thermostats

Looking into getting a Proportional Thermostat to replace dimmer settup currently using with my heat tape. Just looking for recommendations for brand and where to buy one. Thanks in advance for the info

OK - I only have experience with one brand, so take my advice for what it's worth.

I currently have a couple of Big Apple Herps proportional thermostats. They are around 100 bucks - and work great. The heat is extremely even - it's easy to use - and I never, ever have to worry about it. It has a night drop built in if you want to use that too.

They are a great company to deal with - fast service, very painless.

I also know that Boaphiles has the Ranco thermonstats, and I've heard really good stuff about them too.

Good luck - I think you will like how they work.
