Breeding/Fighting HELP!!!!

BeArDyCrAzY May 28, 2003 09:17 PM

I just walked upstairs and saw that my male had grabbed my female by her tail, he didn't let go and seemed to be biting hard. When he finally let go, he bit her again on da tail. I took my female out, and examined her tail and noticed that one of the "bumps" on her tail was gone, probably bittin off by the male, there is a little scab where the bump used to be. Should i remove the male and try again later? or will they never get along??? Thnx in advance!!!!!

When the male gecko wants to breed the female he will nip and bite a little bit. Some males can get very agressive and leave marks on the female. My breeding male actually is very gentle....probably just a romantic. :P he he he. When I breed my geckos I watch just in case anything happens. Whether it be a bite, or fighting occurs, or even if the male gets a prolapse. Just a thing to watch out for.

If you want to breed them, try putting the 2 together, but if it just doesn't work take the female out so that she doesn't get too stressed out, it would be the best for her. You can always try again.
Hope this helped.
