Vet update on my tort.

Nikki22 Oct 21, 2003 10:50 AM

The vet seems to think we are dealing with a viral situation since he hasn't responded to antibiotic treatment and she said torts with bacterial pneumonia usually don't eat and become lethargic. She said continue supportive care and give him another week for the virus to run it's course. And then we can start thinking x-rays, perhaps nebulizing antibiotics, etc.

Thanks for everyone's input on this forum. I always appreciate it and try to give mine (if I think I have something to contribute!)

Nikki

It could still be parasitic or environmental.
Look into Entameoba or Hexamita.
