I don't think this is big enough for a TBS but I though I should check just incase. The dimensions are written around it and the depth is in the middle. Thanks for the input.

I've been checking your post and had been hoping for responses from experienced Taiwan Beauty Snake keepers. I'm going to be helping a friend build cages for his group and was looking forward to the input you received.

Here's my take on it.

Your cage has a floor area of almost 1200 sqare inches, or about the same as a 2' x 4' enclosure. I know for certain many breeders keep their Taiwans in Visions with less floor area. I also know, however, that many breeders feel the actual courtship and mating can be aggressive and the pair or group should be placed in a larger cage.

Also, the longest diagnal of your cage will be about 52". I've always felt that, depending upon how active a given species is, that if the diagnal is half the length of the snake that things should be okay. So twice as long is just over 8.5 feet which is about max for a Taiwan, right?

You're somewhat limited by height which is unfortunate. Ideally you could have a taller cage and provide a subfloor in addition to lots of climbing areas. This would provide a lot more "effective" space which your snake could utilize.

At any rate, if this is for one specimen and you do not plan to breed them in this cage, I think you'll be fine. Of course you could end up with an extra large specimen that is very active. But that's hard to plan for.
