I think this scale is off!

Nitro's tail is as big around as my thumb and I am not exactly a thin guy. Wondering if any of you who use this same scale have found it to be accurate?

If you're not sure of the accuracy of your scale you should always zero it out and then measure something of a known specific weight. It's not so much which brand or model the scale is that matters (though that does tend to effect the overall quality of the readings in general terms), but rather how accurate your particular scale has been calibrated at.

Hi

No scale reply, but I love the beautiful coloration of your gecko.

Take Care, TLB

It might not be that far off as you thing. The difference between a 60 and a 70 gram gecko is HUGE.

I know I have some really fat ones which I thought would all be over 70 grams - and they are all around 64. That next level is a big leap.

It makes you appreicate the sheer size and bulk of those giants. I wish I could see and handle one in person. It has to be very cool.

Nitro looks fantastic. I can't remember - is this going to be the 1st year for her breeding?

Going to be her second Monte. Last year she had 4 infertile eggs. I can't wait to see a few clutches out of her.

I held Moose's brother (Owned by AMGecko) at the White Plains, NY show....Absolutely Incredible!!!!! They are awesome. Probably going to be a project for next year, I am hoping to get a pair someday.

Thanks

I have the same scale ( from walmart). I used postal weights to test it and found it to be right on. For a 30 dollar scale it works great other than it shuts off to fast. I tested it from 4 grams to 180 and it was right on but had trouble under 4 grams.

Thanks Randy. I guess she just seems larger than she is.
