its what she was on at the pet shop, shes on paper towls now till she get bigger, then shell be on slate of summit!

Hi Jenni, Looks like a very pretty juvie still coloring up. Even tho you get aberrancies in any normally striped colonies, looks like stripe/jungle genes 'cause of the head pattern regardless of normally banded tail along with hypo tang. It's nice to see that you can get a beautiful animal like that at your local pet shop - have seen some at shops down here that are selling animals that have tails skinnier than the anoles out in the yard. That's a nice animal!

From what I read and understand about the stripe/jungle issue is that they either are or are not if you aspire to the recessive genetic idea. If that is true than you cannot say that this leo has stripe/jungle genes based on its appearance only. As a het the genetics would be invisible to the observers. That would put this leo firmly in the aberrant high yellow or tangerine camp.

If you believe as I do, stripe/jungle is a complex inheritance situation. Still not a stripe/jungle by the classic definition, but would be a good one to work into a breeding program.

Nice leo, none-the-less.

An abberant tangerine, some might consider it hypo. Its got a very nice colour by the way, lucky find!
