In the wild where are Leos usually found.

alebron Oct 21, 2003 04:14 PM

Where do they hide in. I originately heard they live on sand, but now i hear that they don't live on sand.

they can live on sand, wood, rocks, and other things in the wild. I have seen wild one's in Arizona. I don't live there I live in Georgia.

They're from Pakistan and the Middle East. What you saw in Arizona were probably Western banded geckos.

ok maybe your right. I have not been there sense I was 7 so ya it's been like YEARS. Sorry.

There are many geckos in U.S. with a similar appearance like leos, except leos are from Middle east to Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India. And also, leos can produce a variety of color phases than any other geckos.

The only leos in Arizona live in aquariums. Leopard geckos are native to Pakistan, India and Afaghanistan. I think banded
geckos are in Arizona. Maybe that's what you saw.

Leopard geckos live in Pakistan, Afgahnistan and India. They do not live on sand at all, they live in a rocky habitat with some plant growth. Some live in man-made rock walls and every morning they climb up into a hole to sleep. They live in groups of one male and several females and one of their major food sources is scorpians. There's a little natural history for ya!

I meant what enviroment they live in. Not what countries.

Like what peregrinefalcon said, they live in dry areas, especially areas where it's rocky, barren, and hot, with pebbles or few sands scattered. Raindrops are few, and these areas lack much of the vegetation.
