clogged nose

gyke Oct 21, 2003 05:41 PM

Finally my female is starting to get better. She stopped eating back in June and went downhill from there. Over the past week she went from being near death to bright green and active. She ate on her own for the first time in months yesterday and again today. She seems to be almost completely back to normal except for this black waxy looking substance that fills up both of her nostrils. Whenever she gets excited she has to open her mouth to breath but her breathing is fine. Any ideas what the black stuff is and how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Try using a standard saline solution on the end of a q tip. Gently rub the tip in and around the nostril area. This worked for me, although the stuff clogging her nose wasn't black. Just a suggestion. Good luck, Reid.
