Breeding Uros

Hi,
As you might know, I have a young male mali. I am thinking of getting a female hatchling, that I will raise and keep in a seperate cage and maybe when both guys are mature try to breed them. I have read info pages (including Deerfern's) on breeding, but I just wanted some tips from people who have had experience with it. I just have a couple questions, but any other advice would be appreciated. First, where can I get an incubator for the eggs, and about how much is it? Second, do they have to go through the long brumation before they will breed, or will they sometimes breed w/o it? Also, can what I was planning on doing work - keeping the male and female seperate except for breeding times? I'd love to hear any info on the topic. Thanks everyone!

if you get a hatchling it is going to be a while before you can have them breed! most likely almost 2 years. This will be my *hopeful* first season, so i cannot answer many questions. I keep my two together since i don't have a huge amount of space, and bought my incubator for almost 35 bucks. The hovabator one.
good luck!!
