What do I want to look for in coloration in a BRB?

ngiovas Oct 21, 2003 07:49 PM

I previously posted that I am looking for a BRB, but is there any way to be sure of the coloration when they are young? I really like the bright red color of some, but I noticed that many of them vary significantly.

I looked at several postings in the classifieds, but I'm not sure about the coloration from the pictures.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nick,
. They change colors as they age. Most of them get better but some, especially the darker reddish ones can get too dark as they age. The crescents pretty much stay with them the same throughout life. Ask to see PICs of the parents but, this is not always a good predictor of how they will turn out. My prettiest orangest male came from very very brown parents. And,if the price is low the seller may not be inclined to spend much time taking and sending PICs.
