Approx. 20 min east of you. I don't give out specifics online. Been through the online horror before so i'm careful now. I'm close to you though. Was in Oshawa today actually lol, looking at more wood for another unit i'm building on the other side of my bed.

Theres alot of us around. Nice to know too seeing as i thought i was one of the few lizard lovers in this area. I should start a group up for us to get together. hehehe. Then again maybe not LOL

As for Oshawa.........come on its not that bad.... like i told Darren179 i'm just east of there. Out in the country but still close to the city....although i'd like to move further north if i could. Would make it a bit of a pain to get the stuff for my geckos, but i like to drive so no big deal. I really want to move but i dread, i mean dread moving all these geckos, their tanks and the new unit. Yikes....just thinking of it makes me cringe, my back is sore enough from all the lifting i've done lately...LOL.

Hey, did you feel the earth quake the other night??? I thought it was just thunder until everything in my room shook, including the tanks....scared me to death cause they aren't secured to the wall. Gotta fix that hehehehehe

Hey Red,

I didn't feel the earthquake at all. When was it? I've felt them before around here, but not in a couple years. I hope we don't have any big ones. I've read that the nuke plants can only handle a quake up to 5.5 on the Richter Scale. The Pickering plant sits right on top of a fault line. (Although I'm sure if there was a meltdown, living this close, I would be vaporized instantly)

Talk to ya later and remember to avoid the POOGs (Poor Old Oshawa Garbage - Those kids you always see sitting on the streets in downtown Oshawa)

You'd think that I'd stick up for Oshawa, but I can't. This place is a hole, and it's pretty much overrun by the hoods and scrubs that blanket the city once highschool gets out.

To be fair to oshawa, I didn't come across an empty needle wrapper on the sidewalk until last week...

Empty condom wrappers on the sidewalk are another story though...

It is always a treat when the cops come visit my neighbours though. EVERY week!

Oshawa sucks, and I regret that I live here. Next stop: Courtice!

Theres good and bad points about every place. At least you don't have to drive 30 min. minimun to get anywhere. Today i had to go down to Petsmart in Whitby to see if they had a few things i wanted......one they did the other rock stuff they didn't. I could have called but its like talking to a wall sometimes trying to get across to the sales people what i'm talking about. LOL.

I also have to drive an hour to get to the nearest reptile vet. Now thats a pain....and stressful on the geckos travelling so long.

I so miss school. Never thought i'd miss it but i do. Thought of going to Durham but never got around to it. Part of me wishes i'd stayed at Trent, but then again, i wouldn't be where i am now, nor have my geckos (most likely) so i'm happy with the choices i've made I hear Waterloo is nice.

Yeah, Waterloo is great. I miss being there. Oshawa is alright (fortunately I hang out with some of the other co-ops, or I'd probably go crazy). But I'll be back in the loo soon enough. Missed Oktoberfest though...not too impressed about that...

LOL - La Crosse is slang for self-gratification in Quebec. Buick is planning to call the Regal the La Crosse next year, but they are now coming up with a new name for the Canadian market.

I've heard that rumour around the office (I work in the engineering dept of the plant in Oshawa where we'll be building the new Buick). So far they're sticking with La Crosse. The dealers in Quebec stormed GM's head office demanding a change, so we'll see where this goes.

Should be a decent car though. It's built on the Grand Prix/Inmpala/Monte Carlo platform.

I'm just glad the ugly old Century/Regal is on its way out...
