Does anyone know or had experience with feeding iguanas marijuana or blowing second hand smoke at them?
Around here that would be considered animal cruelty and the owner could be prosecuted.
Do tell us where you live, I'd be happy to send the humane society and the police over for a visit. That should solve your problem/question - you'll lose your "herbs", and your mistreated ig.
i see all the idiots found thier way out of thier boxes today.
Marijuana is on the list of "toxic plants" for feeding to iguanas. There are no beneficial effects to feeding it.
Obviously, second hand smoke is extremely harmful. Remember the first time you smoked? You coughed, righ? Not exactly pleasant even when it was a conscious decision... now imagine that from an iguana's point of view who CAN'T cough. I'd imagine it'd be pretty painful.
Although this may sound funny to you, it is possible to cause the iguana to become addicted to marijuana. Why would you want to do that?
Either way, it may seem like a good idea to feed them the plants because they can be plentiful this time of year, but there is no benefit to it, so don't! Pay a couple bucks and buy the poor animal something that's good for it!
Meh, I wish your animal luck...
