tail different color...

spotsnbands May 28, 2003 10:31 PM

i just noticed today that my beardie, who is only about 2.5-3 months old has like a line in which his tail colors are significantly lighter than his body colors, i wish i had a pic.. he has a bunch of colors too, he has orange, some gold, like a greenish color, and grayish, he/she is really kick ass. i got him from a swap. i am finally noticing his size is probably doubled, when i seen some babies a few weeks ago. i was getting scared that he wasnt growing that much. but he is growing!!hes about 6-7 inches long, and getting fat. i just havent noticed anyone with a dragon with a different color tail from body. thanx for your time. Joe

It could be that he is getting ready to shed right now my beasley's body is a hazier shade because its getting ready to shed.

Bearded dragons turn a chalky/cloudy colour when getting close to shedding...they also shed in sections. Mine sheds his head, base to mid tail and legs first, then his body, neck, back head and end of tail about a week or so afterwards...seems he is always sheding some part of his body all the time LOL. Maybe I should stop feeding it silkworms
