Hey.
I am writing this message because I am a little worried about my female brb. she is in her shed right now, not that there is anything wrong with that except that she has been opaque for over a week now. should I be concerned about this? It also sounds like she is making a whistling sound when she is breathing could she have RI?
here is a little data to help you help me.
the cold end is about 24C(72F) and the hot spot is about 31C(87F) the bath is about 25C(77F) she spends alot of her time in the water is this normal to? the air temp. is about 26C(78,5F).
I was planing to cycle her in nowember, should i postponement it?
really hope to get some help.

Best regards

Dan,
. Your temperatures sound great. What is the humidity in the cage? A good Rainbow Boa cage will at least occasionally have condensation on the inside of the glass. If the cage has a large screen top it will evaporate the moisture out and the humidity will be too low. Being opaque too long could be a sign of a problem. A week is long but within the range of being okay. Whistling breathing sounds can be a sign of a respiratory problem but more often they are caused by the cage humidity being too low causing the snake's nostrils to be dry. What does her skin feel like? Even when they are opaque they should feel like they have soft smooth skin. If the skin feels dry and scaly it is a sign that the snake is too dry.
