First day home... what bedding?

I've read everything from bran, newspaper, sand... you name it.

for the first few months what is the best to use?

Paper products, newspaper, papertowel, butchers paper..
Plastic shelf liner (Dollar General) would also be safe.
Just always check for hiding crickets before lights out if you feed in the same enclosure. Crickets can and will chew holes in dragons...nasty little creatures.

my little guy seems to like the crushed walnut. he throws in around and burrows in it.
