This is my first post here. Recently I purchased a 8.5 inch baby Sav about 2 weeks ago. I did my homework before buying (we'll say him because I hope it's a male) but I can't find information on ANYONE's website concerning whether or not monitors need UVB lighting. I have had lizards in the past mainly an iguana who I raised to over 5 feet but UVB lighting was critical to their growth and I don't want to find out that monitors like other lizards need it when people say they don't. Do any of you have any experience with this?? I mean have any or you raised a monitor without the lighting (UVB)??
