Mail Order Rodent ?'s

hgiddings Oct 22, 2003 01:54 PM

Any suggestions on selecting a company to get mail order rodents from? I want to get rat pups for less than $2 a piece. I live near Providence RI if that helps.

I always recommend Themousefactory.com. Great service & prices. A rat pup in a pkg. of 25 is .70 cents. Of course, shipping adds greatly to the price. They are located in Texas but the mice are packed so well with dry ice that shipping anywhere in the country is not a problem for them.

I've had decent success with Rodent Pro.

As another poster said, the air freight charges aren't cheap, so the less you buy, the more it costs relatively. So, your rat pups at Rodent Pro would run you $1.29 each in bags of 25, but $0.70 each if you bought 100. Those costs INCLUDE the freight charges, so delivered to your door.

I've also had good luck with Bayou Rodents. Also, check out Kelly Haller (harder to find - search online).

I've used Rodentpro.com and their prices and service are awesome. Rat pups are somewhere around 65 cents I think. If you can put together a decent-sized order, the shipping is pennies per item.
