shedding problem

blueta Oct 22, 2003 02:01 PM

One of my juvenile (3month old) veild chameleons started shedding yesterday and didn't get it all off. I sprayed him a little with some water to help loosen it up. Today it's all gone, but a piece on his head, and a little on his legs. I tried to get it off his head by hand (It seems very loose), but he was having no part of that. So I put him back in his cage because he seemed to not like me man handling him to get it off his head and I didn't want to stress him out too much. Any ideas? Thanks.

Its not good to try to help them shed. You could cause a lot of discomfort if its not ready. Just keep it humid and if after a few days its still there mist with hot water.
