Plants/turtles

I have two turtle now and I'm in the process of setting up my semiaquatic tank..so far I have two crawfish 2 gold fish 4 guppies and two RES in the tank...my question isn't really about RES but what type of setup... (It's a 20L....so plenty of room... any suggestion on what plants and such to put in??? all the aquatic plants I put in get trampled

Turtles have a tendancy to do this. Perhaps you should try some floating varieties like water sprite. They might leave that alone and you can just let it float over the top. A 20 long tank will be fine for two hatchling turtles but they will outgrow this tank VERY fast. I hope you are planning down the line for your larger tank. Not really sure if crayfish are advisable with the turtles. I can't honestly say as I have no experience with this but they they do have those nasty little pinchers.
