Change in eating habits, eats less and later in the day

We have a 2 or 3 year old male rescue iguana named Ozone. We got him 10 months ago, in that time he has always been a healthy eater, eating a virtually everything we feed him everday. He was a thin 2ft, 1 lb. when we got him and now he is over 3 ft and at least 4 lbs. We feed him collard, turnip, mustard greens, baked yams, spaghetti squash, fruits, herbs, etc, along with Zoo-Vite, a special vitamin formula the vet gave us. Lately he seems to eat less and later in the day. Do iguanas eat less as the seasons change or should he eat the same amount year round? He is plenty fit, with a nice plump tail, brightly colored, alert and active most of the day. He still potties a fair amount everyday, he just doesn't seem to be as interested in food as usual. Should we be concerned or is the normal?

That change is probably of no consequence, but it might also be the first subtle sign of something going wrong.

One of my igs changed his eating habits; I forget what clues I noticed. Anyway, it was a long time since his last well-check, so I took him to his vet. The x-ray showed a coin in his stomach, which turned out to be a dime. His blood test showed high metal levels, so it had to be surgically removed. He is fine now.

We can see subtle changes in our igs, and by paying attention, sometimes we can forestall serious medical events. I'm glad my ig wasn't seriously sick with metal poisoning for the surgery.
