Space issues

herpfood Oct 22, 2003 04:07 PM

Hello all,
Ok, I'm kinda having some space issues right now. OK, my common juvy garter is in a ten gal. I would really like to move my baby snappers into a more natural setup, other than there storage bins, with big leaves of leetuce, a basking spot, etc. So, I'd like to move them to the ten gallon.

I have several storage bins, and always see/ hear people with storage snake shelves. Could I take a large rectangular plastic storage bin, and use it as my snakes home(with all decor of course)! It would be bigger ,space wise than the ten gallon anyways.

What are your thoughts?

You have to make sure it's a type with REALLY good latches. The ones with lids that just snap on are usually inadequte. The sorts with latches are usually ok. Then you have to make sure you put enough holes in it so that the humidity doesn't go way too high. I'm moving my sand boa collection over to plastic as we speak. It's much more efficient than glass.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
