Hello all-

I have two 1.5 year old BRBs and its time to upgrade their cages to something that will hold them through adulthood. Can you all let me know what brand cages you are using in what size and what type of set up do you have going on inside and how it is heated.

I was looking at the boaphiles aboreal cages ( 36x18x18, Jeff is that too small? ) but I am assuming there might be something better and cheaper

Thanks for everyones input

Sayyed,
. I think 36x18x18 is too small for adult BRBs. I keep my adult females two to a cage in 36x28x18 inch Vision cages. I think they are just big enough but I would rather have them in 48 inch cages instead. I have duct tape covering all of the ventilation screens in the Vision cages. I have looked at the Boaphile plastics up close and they are very good cages. I think you could get Jeff Ronne to make them for you with limited ventilation so that they would be good for BRBs. I would get a 48 inch long one. Your 1.5 year olds are not through growing. You have some options that will work for awhile rather than getting an adult size cage now. For now they would be fine in 36 inch long Sterilite or Rubbermaid boxes. I have some that are almost 1.5 years old that I keep in a rack of five 36 inch sterilite boxes. The tops on these plastic boxes are not quite secure enough to hold snakes so you have to do something to keep the snakes from sqeezing out of them. The 30 or 40 breeder Critter cages would also work for awhile if you installed something covering the screen on the screen tops.
