Any tricks to get them to eat properly???

philg Oct 22, 2003 05:18 PM

I don't think the person I bought my beardie from fed him properly. He wasn't eating many crickets when I got him....maybe 20 a day. Now hes eating 60 at least. My problem is with the fruits and veggies. He picks at it once in awhile, but never really eats much. I've been giving him dandelion, kale, carrots and snow peas all of which hes eaten in minimal amounts. I've also tried raspberries and strawberries with no luck at all. I've seen all the posts on what foods they can eat, my question is, is there any way to make them take to it faster?? Is there any one thing that most beardies seem to like??? I just want him feeding properly. Thanks.

Have you tried other leafy greens besides kale? Collard, mustard, bok choy?

How old is your beardie? Smaller ones often don't eat greens..I had one that waited until he was 7 months. Now he's a pig..lol
