lizard scenting ??

MysticHerp Oct 22, 2003 06:43 PM

Ok, my western hogs have been off feed for 4-6 weeks depending on the individual. I tried scenting with frog legs, and that didnt help, and upon reading previous posts it was suggested to scent with a lizard.

I am curious ...... does it matter what kind of lizard ???? I presently have blue tongue skinks, and frilled dragons in which to run a pinky upon........ worth a try or do i need some other kind of lizard ?

Hognose are notorious for the fasting periods. Just keep them as normal and don't scent with anything. This is they typical time of year that mine fast. They actually just started eating again. My male went 3months without eating. You may want to try to put the male in a seperate room they may want to breed.
If you start scenting prey you will make more problems that you truly don't want.
