I get bit by the little guys all the time at the pet store i work at, lol. They are all so precious when they scream at you and bite, hehe =) Doesn't hurt a bit. they definately calm down as they get older, though. I've never been bit by an adult leo before. I'm sure its happened though

a little advice for people that may not know...
male leos can know they are male at a very young age.

This is the aftermath of 2 juvie males meeting in the middle of the floor, and me breaking them up when they tangled.

Neither of the two leos every shook a tail or paid any attention to another leo before that night, and needless to say I was really surprised (and stupid) lol

anyways, here is a pic of what was left of my finger
I know its just a cut, not like I got tagged by a gaboon, but just to show they can and will bite. This guy grabbed my knuckle and rolled.

they were juvies when that happened.
don't worry about your leo biting you like that,
i stuck my finger in his face to get him to bite me so i could break up their little rumble
it was a melee, a real bru-ha-ha

I'm so glad my little baby Tommy doesn't scream or try to bite me. He's just a peace-loving guy.

these guys don't try to bite normally either, they're 2 of my most personable leos actually, my other adult male has been a bit antisocial for the past few months, he usually tries to get away when you pick him up lately. I don't think he likes our new apartment lol

I don't know if it was in my head or what, but that bite burned like H311 for about an hour afterwards. lol, maybe they are venomous and we just don't know it.
I have a really cool square scar on my knuckle now though, hard to believe a little leo put it there

thats gotta hurt!
well as far as i know our little geckos do have a lot of bakteria i their mouths that can be poisonous to us. so when a gecko bite you so that it comes blood you should actually see a doctor! the wound can easely be infected!

so maybe it wasn't just in your mind... our geckos can be a bit poisonous!!!

luckily mine are very friendly!

here is a picture of jaws. i am guessing she is around 1 1/2 to 2 years old. it doesn't hurt when she bites. sometimes it is just a little nip, other times it is like a pretty good pinch. she has never brought blood.

she looks pretty small to be 1.5-2 years old
I'd say maybe 6 months... might just be the picture fooling me though

nice leo by the way!

now that i mentioned it,
i am trying to remember how old she is. i am ashamed that i don't remember for sure!
she is my oldest and alot bigger than my others!
i know she is at least a year.

i go to so many reptile shows.
i guess old age has gotten the best of my memory!

I had a gecko like that, he would be sitting in my hand, no problem, and then with no warning he would wip his head to the side and bite me. It didn't hurt at all, but it scared me because I never knew when it was coming.
