Really need help!

Hi all, I have a two year old common collared.
Over the last couple of months he's hardly eaten a thing.
Now, his eyes appear to have stuck shut.
He used to eat dusted crickets and waxworms. The tank is ok environmentally. i.e. water, heat, uv, ventilation and it's a 4 footer, sand substrate with plenty of climbing/basking/hiding places.
The local pet shop are useless and I can't find a vet that deals with reptiles.
I've tried not to handle him, but have started getting him to bite a damp tissue (just brushing his mouth, because he can't see, he bites at it) so he doesn't dehydrate.
Any help would be appreciated.

an infection of some kind. Sometimes eye infections come from the lack of vitimin A. So maybe you can suppliment not only with calcuim but some vitimins.
I would try and rinse the eyes with warm water. Maybe cotton balls would work , soaked in warm water and gently rubbed over the eyes, just like you would use compresses on your own. When the kids were young, sometimes they would get colds in the eyes and they would be stuck shut, and thats what I had to do. (warm water soaks used to get them open)

If when they open you see any pus or yellow, it is definitely an infection.

As far as the not eating, is he losing weight?? Acting sick in any way (other than his eyes???) If not I would say he may just be getting into gear, for brumation. Eating tends to slow about now. No weight loss and if he is acting okay, then nothing to worry about !
But if he is acting sickly, and losing weight, then I would be concerned. Try the warm water soaks and see if the eyes get any better, let us know what happens, hope they open and he will be fine, Eve
