I came home today to a nice surprise. It all started this morning when I placed a clean, red jar lid in one of my cobalt tanks which houses a rather agressive pair of breeders. The dish was right in the middle of the vivarium, in the open. Well, after the frogs had gotten their fill of fruitflies, they began courting...in the middle of the dish. Well, I left to do my daily activities and came home around 8:30 tonight. As usual, I checked on my frogs and lo and behold...in the dish there was a nice size clutch of eggs. Finding eggs is not an uncommon thing for me, but finding them out in the open like this just doesn't happen around here. I just hope that any vitamin/calcium residue from the feeding doesn't affect them any. There wasn;t any residue to be seen and the frogs always clean the sites prior to laying. Also, take note of the 2 eggs that share an egg case.
