Here is the male from my prasinus pair. He always basks in such a non chalant, lazy manner. He's also got tons of personality. One of my favorites... what do you think??

He likes to hang on to the branches with only two legs, kind of like a scene from cliffhanger or something...

I love your critters. I hope you get many many many eggs!!! We need more CBB tree monitors!

How long have you been keeping Varanus? What toher varanids have you had? Would you mind posting pics of your entire enclosures? You can e-mail them to me if you want.

Yes, I also have some macraei as well; I have posted pics of the two males that I have in my collection a couple of weeks ago. I am acquiring a female in two weeks or so. As for other varanids that I currently keep, I keep V. prasinus (1.1), becarri (2.3), macraei (2.0), acanthurus acanthurus (1.2), tristis tristis (1.1), and glauerti (1.2?). My collection is relatively new, and have just finished, well sort of, construction on all of my enclosures. I just started building up my collection over the past year, ever since I moved back up to new york from florida.

I built my becarri and prasinus enclosures directly into my wall, and I will be finishing up sheetrocking around it, disguising it as part of the wall. As for my aussie's they are in 2' troughs that I constructed out of melamine with acrylic tops.These I have various lengths depending on the species.
