Goliath Frog

Have any of you frog freaks heard of any breeding projects for the Goliath Frog? Or are they gone all together in the wild?

Not easy to breed and most aren't great captives. I think personally the best way to preserve the species is to preserve their habitat...that is probably the only shot they have. Andy

They are not gone from the wild however they are vulnerable and little is known about their breeding habits so I dont think there are any breeding projects.

Their captive breeding hasn't been successful because the tadpoles require a certain algae. This algae only grows in one place in the world. These frogs have become prohibited from the trade.
